This cutting tool shown is made of tool steel in the X-version, which is our standard variation for most operational scenarios. The hardness of this counter knife is in the medium range.

Here you are offered a good compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

We underline that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The product is applicable for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 172mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, further configuration options can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
