The performance of the cutting tool depends largely on the version of the material and cutting geometry.

This counter knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-variation, which is the standard option in most operational scenarios.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Products of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The spare part is fitting for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 172mm. With regard to the various range of models, further configuration variants can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an ideal contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
