Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a considerable impact on the insensitivity and lifespan.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-variant, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-option. This means that a longer operating time can be secured. In comparison, however, the counter knife is more susceptible to impurities, which can lead to fractures more quickly.

Cutting tools of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will acutely weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

This counter knife can be combined with knives and cutters with a length and width of 50mm. Due to the broad range of models, further configuration variants are possible.

When installing the counter knife, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
