In the Y-variant, this spare part is made of alloyed tool steel. The counter knife in this option is approx. 5% harder than the X-variation, which results in a longer operating time. However, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Products of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of components of this option, as the structure will otherwise be severely impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

This counter knife can be used for knives and cutters with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the broad range of models, further configuration options are possible.

When attaching, please also assure that the support of the knives is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
