Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting shape and the material used for constructing have a significant effect on the resistance and durability.

This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-option and is therefore less susceptible to fractures. This makes this W-version fitting for utilizations where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this variant has a shorter tool life.

In this version, the components are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears homogenously over its lifespan.

We emphasise that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

This product is ideal for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 34mm. With regard to the various range of models, other configuration variations can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
