Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a considerable influence on the resistance and durability.

The W-variation is produced from alloy tool steel. Against the X-option, it has a shorter service life due to the 5 % lower hardness. However it is also less fragile in parallel. Knives of the W-variant are optimal for utilizations where the contact surface is no longer flat or there are impurities in the input material.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

We emphasise that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

This cutting tool is fitting for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 50mm. With regard to the various range of models, further configuration variants can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.

The measurements of the counter knife are 279mm long, 90mm wide and 30mm high.

The special feature of our Eco Line, to which this counter knife belongs, is the lower price range compared to the Premium Line.
