Compared to the Y-, X-, W- and W9-versions, the W8-variant wears faster, but in return demonstrates high toughness. This variation is insensitive to many impurities and is accordingly suitable for utilizations with demanding conditions. This W8-version has an advantage in terms of sustainability. This is because worn out components can usually be re-welded or re-armoured without resulting in breakage or machine damage. The material is a cold work steel.

In this option, the items are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears consistently over its lifetime.

Fastening in the machine:

This counter knife can be used for knives and cutters with a length and width of 145mm. Due to the wide range of shredder models, further configuration variants are possible.

When fitting the counter knife, please assure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
