In the X-option, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard version in most break down applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.
This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the tool life of the counter knife.
Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
Fastening in the machine:
The product is sold as a whole set, consisting of 5 parts.
The counter knife can be used for knives and cutters with a length and width of 80mm. Due to the broad range of models, further configuration variants are possible.
When fitting the counter knife, please ensure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
