Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be influenced by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the efficiency can be well adapted to the application scenario.

This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-version and is therefore less susceptible to fractures. This makes this W-variant suitable for utilizations where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this option has a shorter tool life.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the counter knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of products of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife can be combined with knives and cutters with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the broad range of models, further configuration variants are possible.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.

The measurements of the counter knife are 599mm long, 86.5mm wide and 31mm high.
