Knives in this W-option are 5% softer in comparison to the X-version and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. This product is manufactured out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it suitable for demanding application scenarios. However this variant has a shorter operating time.

In this version, the items are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears consistently over its lifetime.

We emphasise that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
