Through the use of different materials and the variance in the cutting geometry, the item can be configured to the area of application in terms of throughput and longevity.

The B1-version has a high core strength, but is also more sensitive to wear. The advantage of this variation is its high toughness. Items of this design can also be used with input material that is loaded with impurities.

A counter knife of this option is case-hardened, with a decreasing hardness from the edge to the core. This makes the wear of the cutting tool unstable in terms of durability.

Fastening in the machine:

When fitting the counter knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
