This X-variation counter knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variant in most break down applications. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a good compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Cutting tools of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

The spare part suits knives and cutters with a length and width of 100mm. Due to the broad range of shredding machines, further configuration options may be available.

When fitting the counter knife, please ensure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an ideal contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
