This X-variation counter knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variant in most applications. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

Components of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

We emphasise that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
