The wear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be influenced by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the performance can be well customised to the application scenario.

In the X-variant, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Products of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the items. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted external on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

This product is suitable for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 80mm. With regard to the various range of models, further configuration options can be realised.

When fitting the counter knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an ideal contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
