Through the use of various materials and varying the cutting shape, the item can be adjusted to the operational scenario in terms of throughput and durability.

The W-variant is manufactured from alloy tool steel. In contrast to the X-variation, it has a shorter tool life due to the 5 % lower hardness. However it is also less fragile in parallel. Knives of the W-variant are ideal for applications where the contact surface is no longer flat or there are impurities in the input.

Cutting tools of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

This cutting tool fits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 34mm. Due to the wide range of models, further configuration variants may be available.

When attaching, please also ensure that the support of the knives is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
