The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the lifespan can be impacted by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the efficiency can be well adapted to the input material.

In the X-variant, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Items of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

This product is fitting for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 40mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, other configuration options can be realised.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
