Through the use of different materials and varying the shape, the cutting tool can be configured to the area of application in terms of throughput and lifespan.

The X-version of this component is made of tool steel. This variant has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-options.

Here you are offered a good compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the cutter.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

This item has a drilling for attaching to M12 threads.

It is imperative that the cutter is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with flat supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

The cutter is 30mm long, 30mm wide and 19mm high.
