The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a significant influence on the insensitivity and knife life.

The cutter is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-variant, which is the standard version in most application areas.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the lifetime of the cutter.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

To fasten the cutter, the spare part to be fixed has a drilling for M12 threads.

When installing the cutter, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
