Cutting performance and durability:

The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be impacted by the material and the shape. This means that the performance can be well adjusted to the application.

Cutters in this W-variant are 5% softer in comparison to the X-option and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The component is produced out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it applicable for demanding application scenarios. However this variation has a shorter tool lifespan.

Products of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

To allow the cutter to be fastened, it has a drilling for M20 threads.

It is imperative that the cutter is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

The measurements of the cutter are 60mm long, 60mm wide and 30mm high.
