The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a significant influence on the insensitivity and durability.

This cutter is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-variant, which is the standard version in most areas of application.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Components of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this option, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

To install the cutter, the component to be adapted has a drilling for M20 threads.

When installing the cutter, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
