The X-option of this cutting tool is made of tool steel. This variant has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-versions.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Components of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

We highlight that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the deflector wedge, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching the deflector wedge, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
