Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the longevity can be impacted by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the efficiency can be well configured to the application.

In the Y-version, this spare part is made of alloyed tool steel. The hammer plate in this variation is approx. 5% harder than the X-variant, which results in a longer tool life. Nonetheless, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Components of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

However, this variant must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the components. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching the hammer plate, please ensure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.

The measures of the hammer plate are 220mm long, 77mm wide and 10mm high.
