This item can be adapted to the break down application, depending on the various materials and the variance in cutting geometry.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-version, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-variant. This means that a longer tool life can be secured. In comparison, however, the knife is more predisposed to impurities, which can lead to fractures more quickly.

In this option, the spare parts are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the knife wears homogenously over its lifetime.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
