Knifes made in this Y-variant will increase the longevity of your item. Due to the hardness the susceptibility to impurities is higher, which makes it easier to fracture.

In this version, the items are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the knife wears homogenously over its lifespan.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the components. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
