This cutting tool shown is made of tool steel in the X-option, which is our standard variation for most operational scenarios. The hardness of this knife is in the medium range.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Products of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of items of this variant, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.
