Cutting tools of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of items of this variant, as the structure will otherwise be severely impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.
