The X-variant of this component is made of tool steel. This version has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-variations.

In this option, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the knife wears homogenously over its lifespan.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching, please also assure that the support of the knives is in an intact condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
