The wear behaviour and thus also the service life can be impacted by the material and the shape. This means that the efficiency can be well adjusted to the application.

This X-variation cutter is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard version in most application scenarios. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a good compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the tool life of the cutter.

Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

To allow the cutter to be installed, it has a drilling for M20 threads.

When installing the cutter, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
