Cutting performance and durability:

This item can be configured to the operational scenario, depending on the different materials and the variance in cutting geometry.

The Y-option of this cutting tool is made of alloyed tool steel. In comparison to the X-variant, it is approx. 5 % harder and thus offers longer durability. At the same time, nonetheless, the susceptibility to impurities raises, which can lead to breakage more rapidly.

Products of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The spare part has a drilling for attaching to M24 threads.

When fitting the knife, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.

The measures of the knife are 80mm long, 80mm wide and 38mm high.
