The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a significant influence on the resistance and product lifetime.

The Y-version of this product is made of alloyed tool steel. In contrast to the X-variant, it is approx. 5 % harder and thus offers longer durability. At the same time, nonetheless, the susceptibility to impurities raises, which can lead to breakage more rapidly.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the rotor knife.

We highlight that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

The measurements of the item are 5814mm in length, 38mm in width and 24.5mm in height.

Its cutting edge is inclined at R150/30°/45°.

As this rotor knife belongs to the Premium Line, the cutting tool presented is exclusively made in German production.
