The efficiency of this item depends predominantly on the variant of the material and cutting shape.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-option, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-version. This means that a longer durability can be secured. In comparison, however, the rotor knife is more predisposed to impurities, which can lead to breakage more quickly.

Spare parts of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be seriously weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
