Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the lifetime of the rotor knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this option, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
