Through the use of various materials and varying the cutting shape, the product can be configured to the area of application in terms of throughput and knife life.

The W-version is produced from alloyed tool steel. The rotor knife in this variant is approx. 5 % softer than the X-option, which leads to a shorter tool life but at the same time it is less fragile. Knives of this variation are used when the contact surface is no longer in an intact fit or when the input contains impurities.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the lifetime of the rotor knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be seriously weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching, please also ensure that the support of the knives is in an ideal condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.

General characteristics:

The dimensions of the rotor knife are 299mm long, 102mm wide and 22.8mm high.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 48°.

This favourable variant in comparison to our Premium Line is part of the Eco Line.
