This X-option rotor knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variant in most applications. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the service life of the rotor knife.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the cutting tools. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
