In this version, the components are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears steadily over its lifetime.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching the rotor knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
