In this option, the spare parts are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears steadily over its lifetime.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
