The X-version of this product is made of tool steel. This option has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-variations.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the rotor knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.
