The cutting tool shown is made of tool steel in the X-version, which is our standard variant for most application scenarios. The hardness of this rotor knife is in the medium range.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

In this option, the components are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears homogenously over its lifetime.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will fundamentally weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
