Items of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will seriously weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with flat supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 50°.
