This X-version rotor knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variation in most areas of application. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the lifetime of the rotor knife.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will acutely weaken the structure.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 45°.
