In the X-variant, this rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard version in most break down applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Cutting tools of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will fundamentally weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with flat supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
