The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a considerable effect on the resistance and lifetime of the product.

In the Y-variation, this product is made of alloyed tool steel. The rotor knife in this variant is approx. 5% harder than the X-version, which results in a longer longevity. However, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Products of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

The dimensions of the rotor knife are 500mm long, 79.5mm wide and 22mm high.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 60°.

As the rotor knife is part of our Eco Line, this item is a cost-effective alternative to the Premium Line.
