Cutting performance and durability:

The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the service life can be influenced by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well adapted to the input.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-option, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-variant. This means that a longer tool life can be secured. In comparison, however, the rotor knife is more predisposed to impurities, which can lead to breakage more quickly.

Components of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will significantly weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

General characteristics:

The subsequent dimensions are available: 500mm length, 79.5mm width, 22mm height.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 58/68°.
