The efficiency of the product depends largely on the variation of the material and shape.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-version, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-variant. This means that a longer knife life can be secured. In comparison, however, the rotor knife is more susceptible to impurities, which can lead to fractures more quickly.

In this option, the components are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears homogenously over its lifetime.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be severely impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

General characteristics:

This cutting tool measures 580mm in length, 85mm in width and 26mm in height.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 55°/45°.
