In the X-variation, this rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard option in most break down applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

In this variant, the spare parts are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears consistently over its lifespan.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the components. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

Fastening in the machine:

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.

The product measures 600mm in length, 90mm in width and 20mm in height.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 70°.
