In the X-variant, the rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Components of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will fundamentally weaken the structure.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 50°.
