The rotor knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-variant, which is the standard option in most application areas.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

In this version, the items are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears steadily over its lifetime.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When installing, please also assure that the support of the knives is in a flat condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
