The wear behaviour and thus also the service life can be impacted by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well adapted to the input.

Knives made in this Y-variant will extend the longevity of your component. Due to the hardness the susceptibility to impurities is higher, which makes it easier to break.

In this option, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears steadily over its lifetime.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.

General characteristics:

The measures of the cutting tool are 190mm in length, 57mm in width and 14mm in height.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 45°.
