In the X-version, the rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard option in most break down applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a good compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the service life of the rotor knife.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will significantly weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When installing the rotor knife, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
