Compatibility with machines:

The rotor knife is perfectly suitable for cutting millses from Hosokawa Alpine AG.

Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of particular materials and varying the cutting geometry, the spare part can be adjusted to the break down application in terms of throughput and service life.

In the Y-variation, this product is made of alloyed tool steel. The rotor knife in this variant is approx. 5% harder than the X-option, which results in a longer longevity. However, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Spare parts of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

We underline that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When fitting the rotor knife, please ensure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
